Tea and eggs

Alyssa was very busy while Gillian and I colored eggs. I came out of the kitchen to find my little waitress having a great time. I am surprised she could balance the cups so well. She was impressed with herself as well, as you can see by her face. Gillian on the other hand chose a very interesting egg coloring kit. I should probably read things more carefully but I actually bought her sparkly paint to color her eggs. She loved it but they don't include much paint in the kit. As you can see in the picture below that was all we had enough for. It also limited Alyssa's participation. I did mix my own food coloring, vinegar and water to dye some of the eggs that were left unpainted. Alyssa wasn't really interested in the eggs to be honest even just dying them. She enjoyed her own tea party and the fact that Gillian wasn't bossing her around and she could do tea her own way.

Oh how fun! I remember doing this as a kid and sort of forgot that you do this at Easter. Maybe next year with Deaglan - this year would definitely be a nightmare. Your girls are so gorgeous!

what pretty eggs! :) I have a tough time with Easter-egg dying... I'm a bit anal retentive and it's hard to just let the boys go at it... without comet in hand to get the dye that spills... lol. wine.. wine.. wine...

That's some pretty impressive balancing going on!

Those eggs turned out pretty good. Too bad there wasn't enough paint with the kit. That's a bummer.

What an awesome memory! Egg-dying has stuck with me from my childhood. I'm going to make the hubs do it this year, even though we don't have little ones yet!

The eggs are so pretty. Good job girls! We dyed eggs too a few days ago. I've never seen the kit that includes paint and sparkles for the eggs. Very cool! I'll have to look for that next year. Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing your fun time. Happy Easter.

Wow, beautiful eggs for beautiful girls~ The girls reminded me of myself and my sister when our Mom would help us color eggs, enjoy these days they go by too fast!
