Schools Out :)

Well...almost! I have half a day left and it's summer vacation for me! I can't even tell you how excited I am to not have to go to work and just spend some time with my favorite girls. I really don't know how I've been away from blogging this long and how time got away from me. I miss all my friends and even though I've been bad at posting comments, I've been thinking about you all. Life has just been so crazy and I've been overwhelmed with life in general.

Tomorrow will be Gillian's last day at daycare since she will start kindergarten in the fall as I think I've already mentioned (sniff, sniff). So along with the gift I bought for her daycare provider I asked her to do a two things. One was to paint a picture of Susan which is obviously the photo above. She actually has blond hair but I guess red was Gillian artistic interpretation. The second was to write her a letter. So she talked and I typed it. She said the sweetest things. I'm going to print it on some pretty paper and give it to her tomorrow. I typed it just as Gillian said it which I think makes it even cuter. My favorite things that she wanted to put in it were "I like when I give you hugs and kisses. You always listen when somethings wrong. I think that you are the greatest Susan ever and I love you." Hearing Gillian say all these good things about Susan makes me feel so good that this is the person that I entrust my babies with when I'm at work. She's the best!

That's great that you have someone you can trust to babysit. I'm still depending on family for that. I guess I have a hard time trusting people with my baby. I just love the picture Gillian painted. So very sweet. My little one's been out of school for a few weeks now and really misses her preschool friends. She'll be starting kindergarten in the fall too. I'm going to miss having her home with me all the time. I'm not going to know what to do with myself while she's in school. It just seems like yesterday that she was born. (sniff sniff) Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs
Michelle

Wonderful!! I always wonder about the daycare educators at Deaglan's daycare centre. They seem very nice and he doesn't cry when I drop him off (anymore) but what a nice reaffirmation this letter must be. I'm totally envious about your summer holidays. I hope you have lots of fun with those adorable girls of yours:)

I'm right there with you,Kat. My last day is on Friday. Cub had her last day yesterday. She has been at the same center since she was five months old. I cried in the morning, knowing it would be the last morning like the ones we have spent for a while. I cried to say goodbye to the wonderful women who cared for her, while Mama had to work. As we were pulling out of the driveway, leaving- Cub and I were waving goodbye slowly...and then she cried the hardest, deepest cry I have heard in a long time. I cried, too. Our hearts hurt. This is a milestone, yes. But a bittersweet one, indeed.
Bless you and your daughters...and the sweet caregivers. They deserve many blessings. WE all do.

Aw.. Kath.. That is so sweet. What a loving gesture to type what Gillian said and give it to Susan. I am sure she will cherish the picture and letter for years and years to come and like Gillian will surely miss Susan.. I am quite sure Susan will miss Gillian so so much..

I am so excited for you to begin your summer with your beautiful girls and I can't wait to hear all about your new adventures!! :)
