Rainy day flowers

So we are stuck inside today because of the rain but I actually don't mind so much. I got to do a little more organizing which seems like I'm doing a lot of lately. I'm also hoping to see some greener grass and some new flowers appearing as a result. So as usual rainy day=craft time :)This time we recycled our egg cartons to create our own flowers. Here's Gillian hard at work. I figure she can glue them on paper and draw her own stems which we will finish later since they are still drying. I love using items that I would normally throw away to create something else.

I'm looking forward to doing crafts with my little guy. He's still too small. I love the idea of recycling and creating something else.

What a cute idea! And so cost effective!

And thank you for the compliments. Any kind of make-over is fun, even just a blog one:)

What a great craft idea. I'll have to try it with my four year old. It's raining here today too. Yuck! Hopefully tomorrow with be better.

Great idea! I'm going to have to try that with my girls while we wait for the REAL flowers to bloom.

We have a book full of ideas for crafts made out of household/recycle items. The other day we made a purse out of the pockets of old jeans!
