Bring It On
After this weekend we will have survived our first year of cheerleading. It was amazing. I said this before but I really had no idea what I was in for in good and bad ways. We devoted the entire month of August to practices. Then after that practice continued two nights a week. That's a lot for 5 and 6 year olds. The money commitment was unexpected as well. The under uniform accessories, socks, sneakers, and of course the $80 warm up suit. On the positive Gillian has made some really great friends. There were the competitions which is where the photo is from were straight from Bring It On were a site to see. On a side note I did actually buy this photo and I also provided the link to the site where I purchased it so I think it's okay to post it. She has developed her own sense of community pride which I think may be my favorite part of this whole experience.

Such a cute picture! I loved being a cheerleader my senior year and wish I had started earlier!
It's so great she is making friends and having fun!
I always wished I had tried out for cheerleading. They always looked like they were having such a fun time and I've heard the exercise is amazing. Great picture! PS thanks for the kind words on my post:)
So cute, and what a fun activity!
She's precious! And so happy! What a fun thing to get her involved in!
She looks like she is having a blast!!
I was a cheerleader in high school and loved it. My oldest daughter would rather die than imagine herself as a cheerleader, but I was thinking of getting my 5 year old involved. Your post has me reconsidering; I'm not sure I want to make that kind of time and financial commitment. A picture like that might make it all worth it, though! ADORABLE!
How FREAKING cute. Oh so much money but you're such a GREAT mom for letting her do it. That is so fun. And here in WA we love the Seahawks :)
Oh my goodness - so cute!!! She looks like she's having a great time. :)
Kath.. I think she was totally meant to be a cheerleader, lol! She looks like she is in her element!
